TMD and Migraine Treatment

TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) is a complicated acute or chronic physiologic issue that encompasses a wide range of problems and symptoms. These joint and muscle problems are complex.

Symptoms may include:

  • pain in the ear, ringing in the ear and dizziness
  • muscle pain in the head, face, neck and shoulders
  • headaches and migraines
  • limited range of motion of the jaw
  • joint sounds (clicking or popping) and jaw locking

TMD may be caused by trauma, muscle tension, a joint disc issue and/or an incorrect occlusion.
